As the Atrium matchmaker, Jocelyn strategically scopes out new acquisition targets and assesses whether they have the credentials to embark on a committed long-term, mutually beneficial relationship founded on shared growth objectives.

With Atrium’s growth plan already successfully underway, the time came in 2004 to create a position dedicated to finding potential acquisitions that fit with Atrium’s vision and corporate culture. So they looked within for the perfect candidate, promoting Jocelyn to Vice President of Mergers and Acquisitions.

Prior to joining Atrium in 2000, Jocelyn was part of the first group of investors in Atrium while at SGF Soquia, believing in Atrium’s entrepreneurial spirit, strong team and focused, well-devised business plan in a cutting-edge sector.

Today, Jocelyn is responsible for expanding the network of companies to generate growth and profitability. How? He uses the art and science of acquisition. Highly analytical and duty-minded, yet fun and gregarious, he is a veritable matchmaker. He looks for companies with the right people, the right products and the right mission to create the right chemistry with Atrium and its other member companies. Then, when the timing is right, he approaches them, negotiates the best terms for both parties and oversees a smooth and easy integration.

Proud that he is helping create a better life for people – and make money for the company – Jocelyn is a rare breed. Not everyone is so skilled at diplomacy. It’s a high-pressure responsibility. Maybe that’s why he has such a passion for balance in life. When he is not conducting due diligence, you might find him snow-shoeing, golfing or fly fishing, lost in thought in a canoe on a lake – no cell, no email.
